Where are you going?
As the year comes to an end it’s normal to reflect on what you have been doing.
What do you plan to do differently in the new year?
There are no hard and fast rules. At the end of the day it’s wholly reliant on what your needs are (and your resources).
Do you know who you are?
I mean, really?
Do you know what your brand is?
Do you have it figured out?
Can you answer in one sentence what your business is?
For solopreneurs this is a major challenge. Often we wear so many hats that we neglect the core, the essence of our brand. If you are wondering what I mean by brand check out Sahar Wahbeh’s great video on “What is a Brand?”
Figuring out who you are can really help you clarify what you need to work on and stop you going around in circles.
You do have a goal don’t you?
I’m not a coach but everyone needs a goal. Something to work towards. All too often I see people getting caught up, and literally tangled, in the tools. Ultimately they lose focus.
Social media tools are freely available to us all but which one should you be using?
Gini Dietrich throws a few more into the mix and gives us even more to think about with her post about Seven Tools for your 2012 Marketing and Communication Plans.
Then there is the issue of blogs.
Which blogs are you reading?
Which ones are you neglecting?
Should you be reading loads or just a few?
Do you share? Do you participate?
All these things take time, a LOT of time. Commenting on blogs can feel like work but it’s not a business model as Marcus Sheridan explains.
Lots of food for thought. No answers here as I don’t know your story.
Do you know where you are going? Do you have big plans for 2012?
